I'm waiting to post a pic of my homebrew effort but meanwhile I picked these three up from the co -op. Sierra Nevada apparently the original APA, very nice, Thornbridge hazy ipa, very nice, Goose Island IPA, 'WOW' oh and a bag of crisps, cheese and onion.
Very warm again today in Kent, my thermometer is telling me 30C. A pale ale seems well matched to the weather but it tastes a bit odd after a cheese and onion sandwich, onion maybe isn’t the best accompaniment to beer!
TurBo Cider it tastes like fizzy commercial cider, not bad at all for something made from four cartons of apple, juice a cup of tea and a sachet of yeast. Can’t see myself making it in huge volumes but plan to make again.
I've had a gruelling day doing basically SFA! So first is QC on my latest pilsner and now APA.
Hopefully the cold crashed Vienna lager will get bottled tomorrow and then I can get up early and brew Saturday...although I've got a thirst on and the Weber is due out.
Best laid plans and all that...
This IPA next. I’m not so keen on this one although it does have some nice hops (Azzaca, Mosaic, Simcoe), they just don’t play well together in this beer for my taste.
Just had the last bottle of Muntons Hazy IPA. It was nice. Now enjoying a Full Extract Citra IPA which is the nicest beer I have made so far. Absolutely gorgeous.
Beer over ice again sorry, it's a personal thing, goes nice with a couple of chilli burgers, who remembers the summer of 1976 if only we had these beers then
