Not the first but I like this one had a lager type beer from Amsterdam not realising it was 8%. Bloody nice. This is a great amber beer.

This weekend will either be Festival Pilgrims Hope (if cleared) or Wherry.
The alternative is a few cans of cheapos from Flavourly.

@pilgrimhudd thank you for the lovely write up. It is a lager, it's the lager they used to serve at Oktoberfest, before they decided on the lighter version "Festbier". I've never been a lager fan until I started brewing them myself. I'll definitely brew that one again.

Did the QR code work?

Ahh yes, I presumed it was, I forgot to mention that after I wrote that I looked it up on the bjcp guidelines! 🤣. Yes the qr code worked! Thanks again!

First beer of the night is a Marzen kindly sent by @Alastair70 . Not sure I have had one of these before so I had to read up on the guidelines.
Comes across pretty much exactly as the opening description of the style.
Copper redish colour, almost crystal clear with a nice head that stuck around.
Bready malty aroma, not really picking up hops. Mouthfeel is soft with medium Carbonation and low to medium bitterness. Tastes bready with a very slight toasty flavour in a good way. With herbal floral flavour from the hops. It's pretty much all about the malt. Drinks soft and easy for the 6.2%, with some body but still easy drinking. It's not dry but not sweet just soft and malty. Clean Fermentation..very nice beer👌🏼thanks for sending.
