Tonight I'm enjoying a very nice German pils kindly provided my @pilgrimhudd. This is very light (tho 5.6%) and dangerously drinkable. Def one for summer evenings. I was unsure how this would taste...bit unsure as my American Cream ale I recently made was disappointing. This has revived my curiosity and I may attempt another lager style brew. Thx for sharing 👍. I will look at your brew days thread to find the recipe. 🍻🍻

An English Bitter with my cheesy bunion baps. 😋

The “Bap v. Barmcake” argument waxed lyrical, but no one seemed to notice the “bunion” reference.

This is a shame ‘cos the inventor of the “Spellcheck” system passed away recently; May he restaurants in price!

Maintaining my interesting beers whilst in the carribean, here's a lovely citrus ipa from florida called jai alai, whilst I relax in the air conditioned hotel room after another long and hot day doing 'holiday'
I actually can't wait to get home. There are only so many days I can do 20000+ steps a day in 30c heat and blazing sun
Its not bloody natural for a pasty white Yorkshire man.

This is supposed to be an English IPA as well!

It’s finally cleared and the metallic taste disappeared a couple of days ago, but oh is it dark!

It’s more like a Bitter to look at but I’m putting that down to being over a year OOD!

If Keg “B” is clear and minus the metallic taste I will be happy.

When you were drinking the beer, did the metallic taste disappear when you were some way through the glass ? Have just got this metallic taste in my stout until I get approx halfway down the glass before it disappears. I didn't have it at all with the extra that I had bottled. On searching about it appears to be carbonic bite due to over carbonation but I'm only guessing ?

Cigar City and Yuengling were two of the high points of my last couple of Florida trips. I’m excited about returning this summer after a couple of years of travel restrictions.
