That’s interesting, I didn’t get the Citra and it’s one of my favourite hops. I think the over-riding flavours for me came from Columbus - which I think probably gave the spicy hints too.
I think so, for the first 2 weeks it was definitely a dominant bitterness, and after 3 weeks it smoothed out. Really enjoyed it.
Swapping out Citra for Mosiac and Columbus for Chinook for next weekends brew of Mk7.

Not had one of these for a while.

Could you post a recipe for that please?
Here it is. I would make a couple of changes next time. I would use tettnang again but also northern brewer instead of magnum and sladek. I would also increase the bitterness and aroma hops about 25%. You could also swap out the brown malt for a lighter roasted malt like midnight wheat at half the quantity. For crystal malts I just like to use a variety to add a little more flavour but it's not necessary.

Door 9, opened this evening is a dry hopped sour. Initially really hoppy, but seems to have faded now I'm nearing the end. Lovely sourness though and I usually find sours are either really good or really bad.

This is my advent calendar beer for tonight. Doesn’t say much about it on the can, just “not too malty, not too hoppy”. I guess this means that if I like malty beers I probably won’t like it, and if I like hoppy beers I probably won’t like it.
I like it 😂
