It was time to taste a bottle of the Orval inspired Belgian Pale/IPA. Its been a couple of months in the bottle now, when I tasted a bottle at a month there wasn't really any difference. Today it's a different story, it definitely has the Brett effect and in my opinion it's tasting good😁(first time using Brett, well dregs from Orval).

Post Horn Premium Bitter clone, don't know why I never thought of it before, barreled some and bottled some. Foils those close by who make a habit of counting dead soldiers.athumb..

Ah but evidently you lot are a bunch of pi$$heads, I'm trying to cut down my consumption 😁
10 litre batches...

oh by the way I went through most of the NA's and my favorite was the lucky saint, it was quite good actually. After that I hate to say hieneken was the next best. Then the old speckled hen version. All the hoppy NAs taste like hoppy perfume water to me too, especially the brewdog ones.

Did you add Brett plus sugar for carbonation.
Yes. The FG was stable at 1.005 so added enough sugar for estimated 2.6vol then 🙏🏼 that I had picked my heavier bottles to hopefully withstand any increases. As suggested by @Hazelwood Brewery I have used some plastic bottles too to see if the carbonation had changed much. That picture is more my bad pour I don't think it's particularly more carbonated yet than the non Brett batch .

I seem to recall the NA Erdinger was OK, there was a memory of beer flavour in it somewhere.

Just tried my first orval, my first foray into funky beer territory. Like Brett, I think it might grow on me
Orval is one I've been meaning to try for ages

Hoegarden is nice too, although very orangey
