Also having Brewdog Fake Empire. I dunno.... it's got the Brewdog signature taste but also a bit sour, different anyway and a nice buzz at just over 6%.

I got more into it the more I had, I often find that with sours.
I know what you mean, you get used to the sourness the more you drink it. I'm still not entirely sold on sours but it did make a nice change.

Starting out with this one, it’s fullers and I haven’t been disappointed by them yet. It’s much bitterer than I was expecting. Has a really nice malt and dark candi syrup aroma and dare I say a hint of barn, maybe fuggles. It’s very malty but the bitterness overwhelms it quickly. It reminds me a bit of arrogant ******* with fuggles instead of chinook. Very good.

Edit looks like they use goldings which is a bit surprising.

One of my favourites!

Just remembered I had three more beers earlier after my fake empire... (I'm on annual leave so day drinking whilst wrapping presents).

The first one was way overcarbed and practically jumped out of the can, I managed to pour about a 5th of the can before the head reached the top of the glass. Tasted of fizzy water and at 3.7% I didn't think it was worth the effort so I chucked it.

Then I had a Northern Monk Great Northern Lager. Very nice, lots of honey notes, malty and a tiny bit fruity. Quite a thick mouthfeel too I thought

And lastly a Bad Co 03_19 off-tempo tropical IPA. Malty, earthy, low bitterness, fizzy, a bit of white wine aroma and flavour, slightly fruity but only just. Definitely not tropical

Bit of a mixed bag tonight then!

Door 10 - 500ml of foreign extra stout @7.5% with maple syrup, cinnamon and hazelnut.
Thank goodness the cinnamon is almost undetectable but it still tastes like its been dosed with artificial flavour extracts 😖
Would have preferred the plain stout tbh
acheers.

And onto the citra mosaic dipa yum a bit more dank from all the mosaic.

I’m joining you with your Citra/Mosaic DIPA. The carbonation is fine despite not forming a frothy head (I think you said it was keg conditioned?). Very fruity aroma and flavour which is also a bit pithy from the hefty hoppage! Quite assertive bitterness probably also driven by the big hop additions. A little sweet malt at the end. I enjoyed it but yes, it’s gone :confused.:
