I enjoyed the Fake Empire so decided to have my attempt at a hazy - Radioactive Waste brewed in lockdown 1. A bit old now so the aroma has gone, jumps out of the bottle when opened, but taste of Soarchi Ace followed by the kick of cayenne is very good. Not usually a fan of SA so this was a use up but it works...

I’m joining you with your Citra/Mosaic DIPA. The carbonation is fine despite not forming a frothy head (I think you said it was keg conditioned?). Very fruity aroma and flavour which is also a bit pithy from the hefty hoppage! Quite assertive bitterness probably also driven by the big hop additions. A little sweet malt at the end. I enjoyed it but yes, it’s gone :confused.:

Glad you enjoyed it and yes it had a decent bittering addition, more than unusually do fprnthe style, but it plays well with the overall hoppiness I think. I forced carbed it in the keg. Did you by chance get any sulphur from it?

Door 10 - 500ml of foreign extra stout @7.5% with maple syrup, cinnamon and hazelnut.
Thank goodness the cinnamon is almost undetectable but it still tastes like its been dosed with artificial flavour extracts 😖
Would have preferred the plain stout tbh

What calendar did you get, some great looking beers.

I have been re-acquainting myself with a few so called strong beers on offer from Tesco at the mo. They are all fairly similar but in order of preference.
- 1698 (I've passed on the free yeast)
- King Goblin and Old Peculiar (slightly different but about the same ranking)
- Adnams Broadside (which I am drinking at the moment but won't be getting any more)
Anyone else been doing the same and if so how would you rank them, given we are all diiferent?

I'd buy all of them except OP and i'd substitute that with 1845
