First time fermenting under pressure, read that it's best to leave it a while at standard pressure before upping it. It's went from 1058 to 1033, is now the time to up the pressure? Brewed on Saturday but wasn't fermenting until yesterday afternoon.

The way I understand it is to ferment at 1 atm and let the pressure build when the ferment is almost finished. So if you are targeting a FG of 1.016 cap the pressure at 1.018.
That is for ales, some like to have some pressure throughout fermentation for making a faux lager.
I am sure you will get a few differing answers. Mine will be just for carbonating when I get my PET fermenter.
