I’ve finished cleaning the beer lines now and trying a glass of my 6.3% ESB which I’ve decided to name “Foundryman”. It’s pretty much what I was aiming for - it’s like a best bitter with just a touch of warming alcohol in the flavour. It is very easy drinking though so I might soon adopt a silly grin and brace myself in a corner of the room where I’m less likely to fall over! 🤪

Surrey Hills Albury Ruby.

This was bottled from cask so was flat as a witch's tit. Tried the Pocket Beer Engine trick and a little improvement.

Onto the beer, unctious, very caramelly but a dy finish, has an almost spicy note in flavour and aroma. Quite a bitter finish, possibly a bit too much. Reminds me a bit of Plum Porter.
