An arty off-centre picture of my Munich Helles. The beer is clean tasting and malty but I’m actually not enjoying this beer as much as I’d expected. Maybe I’m just in the mood for something else.

I’ve just enjoyed a Pipster Pale (pictured) and might try that new keg of Czech lager again now.

The Czech lager. Not quite fully clear but maybe that will improve after I pour another pint or two. Carbonation is fine now.

Went to Canterbury for lunch and a pint at the Foundry which brews it’s own beers and distils it’s own spirits, and where I had a nice cask ale.

Home again now where my wife and I have cracked open a new keg of Imperial Stout. I made this one a little stronger at 12% (the last was 10.8%). It’s been conditioning since February and is on nitro so it’s already fairly mellow but it’s still intensely rich - like drinking neat liquorice, coffee, and dark chocolate cordial!

A bit more work done in the garden, so rewarding myself with a Peach Saison, which does exactly what it says on the tin.

After putting 4 more pots on our garden irrigation system and cleaning my beer lines it’s time for a cheese salad banjo and a glass of lovely Pirate Pale in the garden.

I’m sticking with the Pirate Pale for now with it’s beautiful cask ale quality. This beer is fast becoming a favourite along with the Best Bitter.
