I think I might now have had “a few” Pirate Pales so before I empty the keg I’m switching to other beers. First up is this nice beer from Jack at No Frills.

And a Cherry Hero to accompany my hash-up of potatoes mashed with milk, cream and egg, mixed and fried with left over chopped pork, garlic and apple sauce.
A good combination.

Still getting strawberry on the aroma and flavour. Think I'll brew again but with Hallertau instead of Saphir. It's nice enough as it is, but a little overpowering.

Haven't had this for a few weeks, the massive amount of Brown Malt has definitely rounded out.

Also get a slight apple ester, which doesn't make sense as was fermented with Nottingham at lower temp and not underpitched.

Anyway some nice beers including a 16% pastry stout

My first pint of my first ever brew, Coopers Lager with Novalager yeast and hersbrucker hops, really quite nice, quite like San Miguel of all things but a stronger hop finish, very pleased with it!

That was the strangest beer I’ve ever had. It was like a smoothie. Around 80% strawberries I sh*t you not. I googled the words to compliment the beers and he just looked at me like I had 2 heads.
Nice lambic to start. No interest in tourists as it’s off the main strip. €18 for the flight of 6.
They had a tree of beer cans and had 1 from Kinnegar from Donegal. He wasn’t interested in the significance

Andalusian is a bit different from Castillian Spanish. Just speak really fast and pronounce the lispy Castillian S as an H and you'll be golden.

So two is more like "dohh" than it is "doss".

Or maybe your barman was just a dour *******?

Absolutely, already have an Irish stout 7 days into fermentation and as soon as that's bottled, I'm getting a cider going....then maybe another lager, just need enough bottles to put it all in so need to consume as quickly as I brew lol!
