You're right, 'flat' is not the first attribute that springs to mind about Pamela Anderson.

My selection tonight..think my favourite from @dan125 was the La Vermontoise..
Super dry, hoppy with German noble hops with medium bitterness and low Belgian yeast character. Deya Brett Pils is awesome too

Meanwhile back to drinks,
The 2nd beer is the same as the first, but a different bottle.
They were quarts, and chilled outside (-6c) to decant off their deposits without losing any condition, if present, into fresh 1pint bottles so they would pour clear (as the gift).
He said he likes a light ale, which these haven't turned out to be.
Not sure if they would be to his liking.
Oh well, perhaps another brew with his hops in will be.

Lost & Grounded's latest release of Running with Spectres Baltic Porter. 6.8%

Might just be my beer of the year. Not sure if it's the freshness or just a tweaked recipe but the ultra-clean lager freshness allied to the dark malts and some subtle but perfect fruity hop notes was A1.

I’ve not long got home from a pub lunch. It was a fairly exciting 14 mile journey because most of it was along a single-track snowy road and I’m driving a big rear-wheel drive car. I needed have feared, it coped admirably (though to be fair most of the snow had been cleared 😉).

Anyway I’m trying my Brown Ale. It’s not quite clear but this might be just the first few pints. The flavour is strong malt with a slightly sweet caramel character and a moderately bitter finish - neatly fits in the centre of the Venn diagram with bitter, mild, and porter.
