Hotel choice of Guinness, Stella or Boddys. The Becks Vier was off.

I went Boddys. It took ages to pour owing to the foaming, is ice cold and tastes of b***** all.

So across the canal is Sommar brewery. Never heard of them but let's see if its any good.

5 fv's on sight but I guess most of the brewery is done elsewhere. A prime location and multiple bars and beers can't be created from a small space.

Gone for 2 half's before food arrives but guess I will hit 3rds later.

So looking at the photo is on the left number 4 a house nepa, a strange stone fruit taste, not bad but not a hop I recognise. I will ask the staff.

On the right is number 9, a house ipa. Similar taste to the other but softer smoother and more hoppier. The nicer beer.

Ok could someone help please? I don’t want to be poorly tomorrow but the beer I’ve just shared is sour once I’ve got into it. Does anyone know if it’s supposed to be sour? Although I know you can get sour quads, I wasn’t expecting this one to be one.

I also noticed the listing for this beer disappeared off the website straight after I’d bought it, which makes me think it’s the last one and possibly old.

I didn’t think of that!

Nope it’s in date. It says November 2023.

I didn’t know sour cherries were that sour lol. It didn’t say anything on the website or the bottle though about it being sour. Very misleading and I may have to complain.
