Day 3 and I’m pining for an English Bitter. They are not so common in Cyprus though I have seen the odd John Smiths around. Right now that might just do the job! I did manage to pick up a bottle of Newcastle Brown along with a few other, mostly dark, beers.

You'll ruin your holiday drinking that muck.

Nice cold TETB lager in the sunshine? Oh go on then…

Found myself near Trafalgar Square with a spare hour to kill. I could have read an improving novel in the sunshine or visited the National Gallery. I went to The Harp on King William IV Street instead. Definitely in my Top 5 pubs (a good thread perhaps...).

A pint of Quantock Brewery's 'Obsessed with Centennial' and then a Mallinson's Dual Hop. Very civilised.

Bramling Cross Pale Ale.
I brewed it for a competition (first one I have ever entered). It's the best beer I have ever brewed, but that doesn't mean it's that good. Up against some exceptional brewers so no chance of winning, but I like it, and that's all that matters athumb.. Just got to make sure I leave enough for the judging...

It's my birthday so am having a couple. Stout to start with. The advantage of not being allowed to drink much for BP reasons is that the home brew gets very mature as this eleven months in the bottle!View attachment 67863
That same “recommendation” was made to me a few weeks ago so I cut down on beer and increased gin consumption as it’s good for lowering bp
Scientists said so

Bottling up the LAB entries tomorrow, so thought I’d better clear the pipes in preparation. First up, the Irish Red. It’s come good just in time 😮‍💨. Good colour, clarity acceptable, good carbonation, good head retention. Roasty flavours predominate as per the traditional style. Just what I was aiming for. Hope the judges like it.
