This is the Septum Heretic, I’m guessing they used Nelson in this one.

Looong few days*, so treating myself to a midweek Hazy Belgian pale (4.7%) courtesy of @dave_77 . It’s been sitting in the fridge patiently for a wee while. First day back in the office for just about 2 years, and realising I’ve missed Radio 4 bracketing my day on the commute.
As to the beer, cor that’s something special ☺ , super pale like a glass of Chenin Blanc: esters and even some bright aldehydes in the aroma and first taste, light carbonation, crisp mouth feel and tastes a lot stronger than 4.7%. There’s a light hoppy bitterness that lingers, light body with green citrus when cold from the fridge, that is masked by a slight sweetness, oh so slight caramel once it's a bit warmer. This really does shine with the aroma right to the end, and breathe out...

[*I was working the holiday weekend at the hospital...which was rather busy

One of the things I definitely don’t miss about the NHS was each week I was Director on call.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad it held up ok after bottling from the keg👍🏼 hope it hit the spot after your busy weekend🍺

What did you do differently that’s made the difference?

Just a bit more all round. Maintained the base malt, increased the oats slightly for better mouthfeel, slightly increased the dark malts, and slightly increased the hops. Just around ten percent all round, or something like that. Certainly produced a much better pint. 🙂
