A good evening tonight in Cyprus and it appears the craft beer movement is just starting here. There are two craft beer tap rooms and one of them is a hundred yards from our hotel - champion! We’d already said we would meet up with old friends elsewhere but popped in to the tap room for a taste of a couple of beers on the way.

I started with a pale ale and a NEIPA. The NEIPA was a bit pedestrian but the pale ale was very nice.

They also do a good selection of other beers in bottlesView attachment 67747
So the tap room is our destination tomorrow. Now back in our room and I’m having that Guinness I’ve been eyeing up.

Let me have a gander at my brewing records; quite a reasonable amount I think..

7.3% of medium crystal, Crisps. I wonder if a bit of dark crystal would help?

I like to keep the crystal under 10% so I’d go darker next time.

Whereabouts in Cyprus are you? There's a brewery in the hills above Paphos that offers a brewery tour and boozy lunch with samples of all their ales, it isn't pennies, but for a beer lover it's quite good value (I seem to remember after staggering to the taxi...!!!) I'll try to find the name...

We’re in Protaras (nr ayia napa), Paphos is not near here. The Brewery tap room is though!

Went to see cardiac nurse today, spent some time on a treadmill all good, she even did my blood so no need to go tomorrow, so I thought I would have one of the Belgians from Lidl, this is full on full of fruity notes really good and I would say better than a Leffe Bruin
