Figured it would be rude not to try one of these on Easter Sunday. Not sure whether it's because I'm just getting over a cold but not really tasting big hot cross bun flavours. Still a nice beer though.

Saison with sorachi ace, pepper and lemon grass



Not 100% on this, I actually thought of making something similar at one stage. After drinking this and making a lemon and rosemary saison myself. Its taught me simple is sometimes best

Back home from York and a fabulous time with the family now having Hoegaarden clone in the garden.

Krombacher pils in the Mallorca sun. My favourite lager this. When eventually get round to brewing a proper lager this will be my inspiration.

Poured this M&S Helles then had two sips and poured it down the drain..odd sweet favour and nothing else

Then had this Italian Pils from Siren..always worth drinking

This one is much more like it says on the tin. Big, sticky, fruity flavours but definitely one to gently sip as it tastes every one of its 7.5%.

Having another pilsner urquell, working out how to make a clone of this for the local June clone comp. Also in a better glass for Clint.

Oh and 2 of these were on the porch this afternoon they are 10l and quite small. Looking forward to using them. I can get 4 in the brew fridge but I am also considering getting a couple 1.6 gallon ones to do some split batches with hops and yeast.

This is nice, definitely better that the Straffe Hendrik. Not as good as the Rochefort 10 IMO but that's not to take away from it. Really nice beer with big flavour. Just what I needed after a nice Italian. Happy Easter everyone

A local homebrew club actually they meet at a local brewpub and I think sponsored by the brewery. There is hoembrewtalk but it's much more widespread than over there, shipping is also much more expensive and technically illegal over here too.

Here goes, first time trying a Lambic


This is strange, its cider like aroma with some oak. Really dry finish on the mouth, again it tastes of wood which I am thinking is Oak. Very light, tart finish
