Not a bit early still for bass? I'm thinking of having a go in the next few weeks, but I'm lures only. We get giltheads I Portland harbour just down the road, but I've never fished for them - nice catch!
We get bass all-year round here, had a dozen on lures today. The benefits of being further south I guess.

After aeons away from it, I thought of taking my son to Dymchurch for a spot of Bass fishing.
Turned out there was a myriad of rules surrounding size and especially numbers that can be caught even on rod and line for personal consumption.
Is that not the case where you are?
If so, I'm moving in.

No rules here except the minimum size limit of 42cm. I mostly just catch and release, just keep the odd one for the table.

GW Exmoor Gold

I am really enjoying this, really the ideal beer for a sunny Sunday afternoon, just Maris Otter, hopped with Challenger, Golding and Bobek. Graham Wheeler may not be as popular as he once was but I still say he has some really great recipes.
