Not really. I'm not a fan of sour beers. It was one of a selection in a beer "advent calendar". It smelt horrible, almost rotten eggs, but tasted very different. I didn't dislike it as much as most sours. I think the fruit helped, but my wife wasn't far wrong when she said it was more like vinegar than beer.

I’m same never a big fan ! But I do now have the odd one, I think it changes or refreshes the palate !) and I must admit some from Vault city which I think specialise in the sours are really good (DDH Lemonade, Dinasour tea party, pink lemonade) I ordered a box for over Xmas from there website which include some barrel aged whisky sours ! Gonna be interesting

Starting tonight with a Summer Breeze. This version had Citra in the mash, fewer hops in the hopstand, and had no dry hop addition. It doesn’t seem much (any?) less hoppy. The next version in my mash hopping experiment will have ONLY a mash hop addition, I want to know if the flavour/aroma makes it through into the final product.

Just had a taster of my Tin Miners Ale (GH recipe). Very nice but has a bit of an aftertaste, possibly from the Bramling Cross hops? Will be interesting to see how this conditions. Although the pic is cloudy, this was from the end of the barrel. It's very clear...honest!!

A ‘Dark winter saison’ with Brett, brewed by @samale. Loads of dark fruit and rich caramel flavours balanced perfectly by both the sourness of the Brett and the peppery clove yeast phenols. It’s a stunner.

Its definitely a unique beer. The only thing that lets it down is the head retention. It seems to fizz out into nothing. Thank you for the review 👍

Just trying a bock I brewed a few months back. Looks perfect but it's getting dumped. Something isn't right with it. I can smell it in the aroma and taste. Like a chemical taste, I will keep one for John to try. Maybe he can describe the taste better than me

Yeah, make John drink it! 😂
