The alcohol free beer from the Tesco Brewdog/Cloudwater 4 pack.

The aroma is promising, but the flavour can only be described as dish water with a twist of lemon.
Pleased I tried it but I'd rather have a cup of tea if I was driving.

Saaz & Auora Sasion

I’ve finished the 5L keg I had of this but luckily I still have a dozen 330ml bottles. I primed each of these with 2.5g sugar and it is a fair bit more carbonated than the keg was. Very dry with just a hint of underlying bitterness. Will need to brew another batch shortly.

I’ve all but given up on alcohol free beers I love the idea but the execution has always being lousy come to the conclusion that my best bet is a soda and lime.
 
After some suspected oxidation in a couple of beers I've sent out, I'm doing a side by side bottle versus keg with a pale ale I have on tap.
The bottle (on the left) was filled about 2 weeks ago and there's less difference than I was expecting.
The bottled beer is just half a shade darker. I might be imagining it but it also finishes rougher, compared to a smoother lingering hop flavour off the keg.

First carbonation test of my Taras Boulba clone...and tasting as first attempt. It's only been in the bottle a week and although it has some carbonation it's nowhere near the 2.7vol target. Even has a little sweetness that maybe the priming sugar that's not fully fermented yet. Initial taste my thoughts are maybe slightly too malty and a little too dark so maybe just base malt only. Needs more IBU's for MK2.

@obscure @pilgrimhudd , how different can a Saison be?

Here's me Saison de Lancashire Oest (as Obscure would say) aka "Out in the Fields". Deliberately hazy and beginning to get that spicy Belle Saison kick behind the Saaz and Styrian Goldings.

Indeed! I have to say that when I thought of saison before I brewed mine I would have said it should look like yours though! Did you post the recipe for yours anywhere, I'd like some inspiration for another saison from you guys and @samale .

Out in the Fields

A bit of Vienna and Munich in there but not much, so just a bit of colour. Wheat for the haze. This one dropped to 1.001 but it took two weeks to drop the last 3 points.

It's very different to my previous effort (which was very enjoyable), which I have to attribute to the golden syrup rather than sugar, the wheat, and slightly higher mash temperature. This one really has got a bit of body.

My Saison is pretty simple I initially made it because I purchased Auora hops on a whim, then needed something to do with them, as it’s described as a β€˜super styrian’ a saison seemed the logical answer.

Personally I’m loving Saisons they are so straight forward to make yet (as long as you like the style) give great result.

Will probably play around with yeasts though as I have being sticking to Belle Saison to date but really like the flavour of Wyeast French Saison in the GH Bière de Garde I made, so definitely think the yeast can have a huge impact on flavour.

Similar here on the yeast front. I'd like to try a couple of different strains side by side.

Already have a half-baked recipe for a Black Saison up my sleeve too... athumb..

Yeah the yeast makes a massive difference, something I hadnt appreciated till recently.
