We have more snow than I've ever seen in the UK and it just keeps coming!

One of my dogs demonstrates that going for a dog walk is getting quite tough...

2 3/4 hours to get to work this morning for a journey that normally takes 15mins. All on roads they normally grit, think they have cut back big time because it was like a ice ring and it`s not like there was no warning.

Well Mrs C and me went to St Andrews this weekend, we were stopping @ the Old Course Hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary :thumb: (had a suite with a balcony overlooking the Road Hole, pure unadulterated luxury, highly recommended  )

Went on Saturday afternoon, 220 miles left home near Kendal @ 1.15pm and got there @ 5.15pm had a fantastic 3 night stay, snow all round the area, but we hardly strayed out of the hotel and spa

Travelling back today, I was expecting it to be really bad having seen the news reports, but roads were fine :!: set off from St Andrews @ 10.15am and got home at 3pm having had a shopping stop on the way home :!:

Bollocgs its started snowing here and I've got to drop Mrs Mc in work for 7am down winding narrow lanes.

Used to love it when was a kid, now all I think of is can I get my mums shopping and will have a full wage next month :(

Why won't this bloody snow bog off!!!! making it very hard to run my business lol. To make things worse I have no grain to brew with so it's not like I can do any brewing whilst I'm not at to work

Perhaps I should invest in some skiis!

I've come to the conclusion that I love snow . . . . Provided it stays in it's right place . . . Mountains and Moorland. . . if it comes onto the roads then I hate it . . . or as others have said I hate the idiots that can't drive in it that always seem to be in front of me

All that way, on a tandem??

Snow is fun with a 4X4, especially if it's 20 years old & has plenty of dents in it already :D. Also if you can get in front of Aleman,,, that's a bonus

When I lived on the west coast of Scotland when it snowed the first vehicle you would see in a ditch at the side of the road was a 4x4. Four wheel drive can make you over confident either that or all the fish farm and forestry workers were still p*ssed from the night before

Leeds is at a complete stand still! Listerning to radio aire, some people have been sat for 4 hours going nowhere! I'm at work in dewsbury A&E where it's snowing like feck but the roads are pretty clear. The Mrs is coming down the A65 and has moved 1/4 mile in an hour!

They've tried to send me home but I'll be fecked if I'm going out there to join the carnage! I'd rather stay at work and do some good! Might even have to bed down in hospital accommodation tonight :?
