The Lakeland hills over about 1500 ft have a covering, sea level @ -5 this morning but dry roads.

Meant to be pheasant shooting in the morning which means i have to drive from Thatcham to Salisbury about 38 mile, not normally a problem but the forecast is for snow from the M4 corridor down to the south coast with up to 30cm of snow. This means i will be driving right through it.Hopefully will get a good bag of birds though if the beaters work hard

South Lakes has a couple of inches overnight, the fells are well covered and very picturesque, main roads are OK side roads 'dodgy' :!:

At the moment the air temperature is - 3 but the wind chill is horrendous this morning, it's a lot colder than -3 out in the wind

Heavy snow all the way to salisbury, shoot was on & shot about 25 pheasants & 9 partridge so am alright for meat if i get snowed in .Drove home & main roads good but 4-5 inches laying off road, all in all a good day but more is forecast for later.

That's some going, 34 Birds with 30 carts :thumb: Although using No. 6 does make it a bit easier

About 5-6 inches in Kiddy and the main roads aren't much better than the side streets. I may have to drive tomorrow but that's optional, and I'm not at w**k on Monday as I had one holiday day owing, use it or lose it, can't roll it over to next year.

Roads to Wales had better be clear by Christmas Eve though or I am going to be well p*$$*d off

Isn't that usually the other way round
