    FG's

Ive just read a post where a Brewer (sorry, can't remember posters name) got a fg of 1002. I've never had one below 1010. I normally get an OG of say 1048 to 1052 maybe a tad higher sometimes. Can i ferment below 1010 from that high? If yes, How?

If you have AG in mind then nothing will stop you. It took months for me to save up and build the kit, but i'm glad i did. It's well worth it.

    First Timer From Edinburgh

Hello David and welcome, If your OG (original gravity reading) is lower than expected, you will just get a beer that is not quite as strong. I would not worry as it's your first brew. Experience counts for a lot. As for your Keg/Barrel, Yes you will need to pump some co2 in it at kegging time...

    Hello from Norfolk

Your beer should keep for months in a keg. Also, the stronger it is the longer it will last. I do however like the idea of trying to drink a whole keg in one go. :D Please post pictures if you try. ;)

connections on the bottom of boiler

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but i walked into my local plumbing shop and told the guy what i wanted to do. With a bit of head scratching he supplied the bits i needed.
