Hi all,

I'm Cornish born and bred, and I like beer, specifically bitter. Our most local brewery in North Cornwall is Sharps who brew Doom Bar and Special. These beers I like quite a lot.

Anyway, I have a small problem which I will take to the appropriate part of the forum regarding homebrew for the complete novice and an unconvinced missus (is there a topic for that too?)

Welcome to the forum Pastyman.

This time of the year down here in Cornwall will be fine for shedbrewing. As long as it gets plenty of sun and you wrap your fermenter up well with bathtowels or a quilt, there should be no problem.

Where are you in Cornwall mate.

Cheers Neil

Thanks for the welcome Neil :)

A friend of mine mentioned wrapping the fermenter up too :thumb: and the shed is in a sunny position, with opening windows - ideal in case the temperature gets too high.

I'm at North Cornwall, little village called St Teath, between Wadebridge and Camelford. Just added myself to the Homebrew map, and see your in Cornwall too

Welcome mate. I am on the North coast too but further down in Perranporth.

I know where St. Teath is though as I bought my dog there.

I'd love a pasty, we always have to stop in at the pasty shop in Illogan when we are down.

My missus originates from Camborne and all her family are down that way so we pop down on a fairly frequent basis.

Does anyoneknow what days the homebrew shop opens in camborne, tried sunday monday and so far today no answer, need some champagne yeast.
