@Donegal john I wouldn’t expect it any time soon. Looks like it’s going via snail mail.

So finally.
@pilgrimhudd tropical stout
Aroma is initially yeast but when swirled it gives dark fruit and black malt aromas.
Head is fluffy and settles to a nice tan ring that is easily roused with a swirl.
Taste was “wow” this is nice with lots of fruit no bitterness and a chocolate finish. Nice velvet mouthfeel and plum and damson flavours that linger on the pallet and has you licking your lips after each mouthful.
Hits all the marks for a tropical stout as per style and a dam fine beer for a Friday night.
Cheers for sending and we’ll done that man

Plum! That's what I was tasting! Couldn't pinpoint the flavour, but now that you mention it, that's what it was!

@samale tropical now.
Poured with a small head that disappeared very quickly aroma Is fruit and sugar. Mouthfeel Is fairly thin but the flavour is all there. Fruit chocolate and sweetness all in one. A nice lingering taste with slight liquorice notes a very nice beer and we’ll received.View attachment 78622
Not the best beer I have ever made. Not sure why the lack of head retention, maybe it might improve

Glad you liked it! 👍

After wetting the palate, my first tropical stout is @SMP Brewery . Good head on the pour which lasts the whole glass.

Aroma is again, stone fruit, plum maybe, interestingly seems to get more malty as it warms.

Looks as it should, black.

Tastewise, I get loads of coconut at first! Id be interested to see if others get this. Definitely get chocolate maltiness as I get down the glass. Not as much roastiness that I might expect.

Mouthfeel, a little lighter bodied than the bjcp guide suggests I would say. More porter than stout in mouthfeel terms.

Overall, I've enjoyed it, no problems there, it's a nice beer. Does it meet the bjcp guide exactly, not quite. I reckon a bit more roast barley and a higher mash might improve it? All in all though, decent!

My 2nd tropical, @samale ,

Not much of a head on this one, white froth dissipates pretty quickly. Well carbed though.

Aroma, not much fruitiness but its there, a lovely malty roast aroma though.

Taste, a nice chocolate, roast and stone fruit flavour. Like DJ, a bit of liquorice.

Mouthfeel, again a bit thin maybe? Not sure what the abv is but it doesn't pack a punch.

Overall enjoyed it again, I think could do with a bit more body but otherwise very nice! Thanks for sharing!
