Sounds spiffing....
After much faffing about today....brewed a wheat which is now kicking off, decided to have a crack at a restaurant style curry gravy. Followed YouTube.,misty Ricardo for the base and then his jalfrezi. It's done and is very promising...
However beer consumption is lacking...a cream ale and a founders clone...must get more before curry time!

6.7% Abbey. Won't need too many of these. Got a clone of this in the brewfridge, hope it turns out as good

Last night i had a tin of Vocation "Pride and Joy". Most of it flew over me when i opened the tin and what was left was full of bits. None of my homebrew has ever looked like that. It was as bitter as **** and had zero taste. Poured it down the sink. Had another of theirs as well, same. Full of bits and undrinkable.

Sampling my RIS: Nuclear Winter @9.1%. Trying one a month to see how it develops. It's 2 months now and it's carbonated Ok. Colour is black as a black cat in a coal mine during a solar eclipse. Head is a tan brown. Taste is coming along well. All the flavours are there but need to meld together a bit more.

The vocation beers are usually ok, although they all taste the same

I used to have the odd tin of life and death until i had a horrible one. The others must of had yeast in suspension. Shame they had a really good date so i presume were fresh.

This follows on from a convo I was having with a mate the other day about how down hill stone beers have gone since they got into the supermarkets. The quality of the beers have just nose dived and you can, like I have, get some really nasty beers from those guys. Such a shame.
