My 1864 Lovibond XB should be about drinkable in 2 days! So I'll pop some in the fridge as soon as I get home. If the neighbour has been a good boy and only watered the plants and not himself by emptying the fridge, there should be some of those ales that @Dutto is wildly enthusiastic about! (but not really )Things must be grim at ranch JJSH , as I've had a third of my Lovibond (still not clear, needs another week or two) and now on my last 5 bottles of Kitsters Last stand, which was my last ever kit (much modified with a mini mash). It's quite nice!

Been busting a gut in the garden all day
Yeah love being outside gardening yet. Built another compost bin and dug up one of the front flower beds, although I may have cheatedMe too, all weekend, actually. Still lots to do, although I have to admit I am secretly enjoying it. Must be getting old!
This thread needs renaming to ‘what is Dutto drinking tonight’. What happened to Captain Calorie?!
Still losing weight. I'm now down to 113.1kg
My Basal Metabolic Rate is 1,900Kcal (i.e. the calories I need to stay the same weight if I do zero exercise) so anything under that figure is "losing weight", and today my total was 1,340Kcal taken as follows:
Magic!
- 600Kcal from 1.5 litres of Youngs Lager (the "Hydraulic Supper" previously mentioned.)
- 450Kcal from a home made chicken curry.
- 100 Kcal from Rice Crackers.
- 90Kcal from Ginger Nut biscuits.
- 100Kcal from coffee.
Fair enough, I like the proportion of calories from beer! If I could get by on one meal in a day I’d find keeping weight off a lot easier.
COFFEE HAS CALORIES?!
Not really, but Camp Coffee does!
We tried that last week - really enjoyed itWhittaker's pink peppercorn gin and tonic!
