Honest, I don't work for Tempest but their Farmhouse Saison is excellent, much better than the M&S one :)

Had a couple of my golden stag summer ale, and now onto muntons gold pilsner.

Both are pretty much ok, but a damn sight better that some I paid 3 or 4 times the price for.

I love this hobby.

My first lager brewed with proper temperature control. It's amazingly good! Took ages to ferment out at 10 degrees but definitely worth it! Can't quite believe that I've made something so good!

What did you think of the Saison?

Didn’t really know what to expect but this was an easy drinker, not too hoppy.

Citrus grassy spiciness coming through. I was expecting a little more wheat depth for some reason.

A nice refreshing drink all the same and not too bitter - would drink again.

Keen to taste some other Saison and compare. I’m going to have a go at a Saison in a few weeks I think once today’s AG is out the way of the fridge.

Well, I started off with what I think may be the last two litres of Vienna Lager Batch One (sob - sob) ...

Last of the lager.jpg

... then SWMBO returned from the shops with the perfect dinner so I switched to a Light Ale to finish off the day.

it's most likely going to be the best beer ever brewed but pretty impossible to re-create

I fancy using a cider yeast with my next beer. I don't know why :hmm:

Well I find it quite appealing and have the yeast in the fridge which I harvested but a t pitching time for the next batch which yeast will dominate as it's the Belgian which has shown through...
