Interesting. This was a small batch I did in my old stove top pot instead of the Klarstein and everything was chucked into the fermentor once done, trub, hop matter etc.

Not only is the hop flavour great but it’s probably the best lacing I’ve ever had on a glass.. maybe coincidence, maybe not!

A quick round up of this evening :

My starter of my CADB blend.
Truly bitter.
Beside is one of my other hobbies.
That's a 56 year old Smiths watch movement on test.
Not too shabby.

Next up my Kent Gold ale.
Bitter and rich with my First Gold hops.

Then to follow a '22 Petit Chablis with a John Dory from our local farm shop fishmonger.
A brilliant combination.
Chocolate sponge trifle to follow with the remains of last night's Rose Prosecco.

Bavarian 0.0% (With it being a Sunday night and all) while I finish off putting together a MYO Lager kit.

After reading a few posts on here about it, I don't have high hopes and expecting that I'll probably dump.
But for £23.50 (including the dextrose) and the convenience of The Range being just down the road, I thought I may as well try.

Just finished another brew from @Stu's Brews . This one was a Strata WC pale, a style I love.
Definitely looked the part with the crystal clear golden appearance. Had a sweetish hop aroma.
This reminded my of some Centennial hopped beers I have had, with a sweet fruit, citrus with a little spice. Very nice beer again👍🏻. That's me done for the weekend.

Maybe not the thread for this, but just replying to @aero-spaced-out - feel free to move to another relevant thread.

I like this kit, as a gap filler for my rare AG brew days. I've brewed this twice now, with great success, but I've pimped them up. If your brew works out to be 'OK' or you feel like it's a drain pour, don't be disheartened, it can be seriously improved by tweaking the other ingredients. This obviously increases the overall cost, but I'd say it's worth it.

I used Coopers Light LME instead of dextrose, MJ Bavarian or Bohemian yeast instead of the supplied yeast, and I dry hopped with 100g Motueka instead of the supplied hops which gave it a lovely citrussy aroma. To keep the cost down, you could use the supplied hops, but the other changes make such a difference. I also brewed this short, to 21L.

Let us know how the 'standard' kit turns out.

After 4 weeks in Southern Thailand I've enjoyed a few new to me beers.
Here's tonight's. Full moon malt. 5% 490,ml.
53B, less than £1.50.
On the side of the van; fruity and hazy.
Pour half of tin, then swirl can and pour the rest.
Very acceptable.
Especially at the price.
