This is a bit of a surprise. I was expecting to not like it but actually it’s a pretty successful cross between a pale ale and ginger beer. I’m not sure I’d look for it in the shops but I’d happily drink it if given another.

Sorry if I look like a lager lout but I'm stocking up as my son is coming home for Easter. I do enjoy a lager but personally I really miss the smell of smoke, pies and ale wafting out of a pub extractor onto the street .

Agree. A brilliant night. Only me and 4 people who worked at the bar..he brought a crate of 750ml bottles all unreleased beers. Made a great intimate night. Was even given a few beers to bring home.

I particularly enjoyed a blackberry and apricot pale, aged in rioja barrels, brewed with and for beer moth. Out later this spring.

Another day, another pub. Had some food too including gochujang bao buns, Korean BBQ fried halloumi, and a nice baked Camembert. Tasty

My "Black Paw" Black Cherry Hard Seltzer.

Made for my partner but it tastes like marzipan which she hates, so need to finish the keg to put the sweet cherry one on, which thankfully doesn't taste like Marzipan.

First of the evening/afternoon, nice to see the sun! This one is @Twostage NZ pale ale, its a lightly hopped pale ale, looks beautiful, smells lightly of citrus, similar to taste, a very nice way to start, cheers!

2nd is an El Dorado pale ale from @Moe .
Again a lovely clear beer, perfectly carbonated, with a nice thick head which lasts the glass. Aroma is of pine and citrus and tastes much the same. Looking at the hop profile, el dorado is supposed to give a predominantly tropical fruit flavour, have to admit I've never had that from el dorado, which may just be my nose and palate. Anyway this is nicely bittered and very easy drinking! Thank you!

Well I am very impressed with this from Aldi, big whiff of vanilla on opening and it’s the first thing you taste not to roasty and the coffee is very subtle finishing with a lingering bitterness bloody lovely
