Tapped this way too early but I am an impatient man. From memory, this is pretty close to the original taste. I'm actually very happy with how this lager (my first AG lager) turned out.

Yesterday evening, got back from dismantling the daughter's fence panel partly flattened by the uncommon NE gale last weekend.
Putting tools etc. back in the garage I was drawn to some beer casks in the corner crying out for attention.
I had to answer the call.

(images posted before, but same two beers)
One snifter of the new Camden pale ale clone - hoppy, malty and bitter.
Followed by one of my Hoppy Pale ale of Kent (which has my own-grown First Gold in the mix along with locally gleaned hedgerow hops).
More rich and dankly hoppy, not unpleasant, just different. 🍻

Munich Dunkel

A very slight umami aroma, but now I've smelt it, I can't get it out of my head

After adding some Brausol and a bit more lagering, the umami note has gone (if it was ever there). Possibly I was confusing the melanoidin character, or simply drinking too early.

My brown porter at 178 days. Modified Greg Hughes recipe. Finished at 1019 need to do better really. I’ve only just noticed how poor the head is, that’s unknown. The sweetness leaves a strong cola impression, the Notty yeast character that was apparent when young is all gone.

Had a couple of stubby's of my APA in the freezer for an hour, icy cold and well carbonated, something I'm not normally keen on but this tastes great. I think I am getting my liking back for American ales.

Finished with my Coopers sparkling clone while having an inspection of my 4 litres of wild brew beer been up to 40C while fermenting. Which after boiling will be getting tipped into my next Foreign Extra Stout. Well, 3 litres will be, will have a taste when I pour it into the saucepan.

What is it? Looking good 💫
Munich Dunkel. It might be a bit light in colour for the judges. I went 100% Munich I and relied on a double decoction for colour and flavour. Next time round I think I’ll just bung in some chocolate and melanoidin and shave an hour and a bit off the brew day 😂
