Tasty Lost and Ground Wit.

I have had this before but tasting better than I remember. Must get a Wit in the calendar for the summer

Best bitter been in pressure barrel for 3 weeks and is now crystal clear and the flavour has improved to be a top pint. Hopefully there’s enough pressure in there to last the keg as I can’t add any. I’ve gone for the lid without the co2 capsule adaptor as that one leaked gas.

It used to be a Saison but they changed the recipe. Guess they liked the name and wanted to keep it.

I am sampling @Alastair70 APA to help me along during my brew night ( New Zealand IPA)
Great colour, clarity and carbonation. Aroma of soft fruit, melon. Taste is similar, nice body. Very well made beer
Only criticism and it's probably down to personal taste but it's on the sweet side

Cheers mate! It’s was a user upper brew and I was a little heavy handed with the Caramalt.

Good shout!!
It also got a big dry hop with the tail end of the Simcoe and Amarillo bags plus 15g or so of Mosaic Lupomax.

If it starts running low undo it and bung a little sugar or sugar cubes before bed and it will be fine the following day, going back to the 70s now

I know.... result...and the labels come off so easily too.

German and Belgian bottles are great for homebrew. I know we don't return bottles in the same way in the UK but surely we don't need to be sticking labels on with industrial super glue

After ending up in spoons on Wednesday in Dundee due to the naffness of brewdog yesterday. Thursday in Innis & gunns was a much better experience though.

Started with a SAISON then went through the barrel aged beers....

I've had a few of their beers in the supermarket on the odd occasion and never rated them, but on tap they are so much better.

And so it's a big punt down to Chester today.

Popped into the newly-reopened local for a quick lunchtime chat with a mate.
Neither of us fancied drinking much so he had a lager shandy and I had a half a lemonade (from the 'gun').

I pointed out that they'd charged for a pint of lager not a shandy and the response was 'it's the same price'.

It's starting to get beyond a joke. I know someone that recently went to a swanky (although you could possibly remove the S) hotel here, in N.Ireland, and was charged £7.80 for a pint of Guinness.

Does this hotel have to pay more for a keg of Guinness? No, no they do not. They are pulling numbers out of the crack of their ar$e.
