Glad you enjoyed. I'm from West Yorkshire, and I believe they (and Scotland) have the best breweries / beer 😁
Obviously beer from Yorkshire is the best. 😀

I’m going to be a bit contentious here in that I’ve struggled to find beer in Scotland that I truly liked, the best by a long way was from the Cairngorm Brewery. Perhaps I’ve just tried the wrong beers.

Overtone, Vault City and Brewdog are my faves. 🙂

To be honest, if I could only drink one Brewery for the rest of my days it'd be Overtone. They're expensive, but their ingredients are natural and quality.

You get what you pay for. Just my opinion lol 😁

Onto a Saison now, good job it’s not a School night.

Todays job was to replace my beer lines into the beer cooler and build a new python. That all went well, however…

I then decided to give the stainless steel coils in the chiller a caustic clean and I leaned an important lesson - not all plastics are able to cope with caustic. Most can but I used a plastic drinks bottle and the caustic ate through it giving me a lovely clean-up job and staining my nice smart varnished brewshed interior. Gutted about that but no use crying over spilt milk, lesson learned. Anyway, in brighter news, I’ve got my beers back on and now making use of my new tap board. My first beer tonight is the Schwarzbier.

Now that looks like a proper setup.

Now I’ve warmed up I’m having a guest beer, this 5.5% NZ Pale is from @Tess Tickle's Brewery

In appearance it’s a lovely vibrant golden-yellow colour with a white head that quickly faded to a light foam over the surface. Carbonation was about medium and the beer is fairly hazy as you can see.

The aroma is really just fruit, lots of fruit. Apricots, peaches, limes, something tropical - maybe papaya?

The flavour is lovely, not as fruity as the aroma might suggest but if it were I’d probably be drinking a smoothie! I do get some tropical flavours though and something a little dank, like Mosaic can be, along with floral and herbal notes. After a while some grainy malt starts to show through but remains subtle. The bitterness in this beer goes almost unnoticed but it’s there and is nicely balanced, and the finish is crisp and dry.

Overall I’d say this is a very clean and flavoursome beer and definitely one to enjoy on a hot summers day. Thanks very much Tess for sending me this beer, thoroughly enjoyable. 🏆
