I'm getting on with the only thing I have currently, more hopped lager, the more I drink it the more it has that San Miguel style to it. Hopefully my stout will be in the bottle in the next couple of days and a blueberry cider replacing it in the FV

Finally got the Honey porter brewed today.
A pretty straight forward brew day in the nice walk sun, even managed to top up with the swimming pool with the warm water from the chiller - yes I did have a dip afterwards.
The HONEY malt in the recipe is the actual honey and will be added at high krausen. The honey is from a local guy that I know, it is lovely stuff.

Just catching up, here in North Mid Wales and went to the local pub which is a Wye Valley Brewery pub so the only beers on offer are Butty Bach and HSB (which was the nicer of the two) as it was served in a Purple Moose glass, asked about guest beers but it’s too expensive they get charged an extra £50 a cask and the locals just wouldn’t pay the extra. The irony was that during Covid the brewery couldn’t supply the beer so they drove to all the local Welsh breweries to pick up beer and it’s what kept them going.

Today got a couple at the site. Both really nice beers, probably one of the best bitters I’ve had out of a bottle for a while.

Now for something a little different but equally nice.

Today we’ve come down to Folkestone. Very popular and great atmosphere. My wife and I have had a couple of drinks and some food. Good music and good beers/cider/coffee in the warm sunny weather. Feeling good!

Lovely Amber ale from the Wriggley Monkey brewery - full bodied, sweet malt
and bitter finish

Nice solid pilsner, it’s being served cold, it’s fairly well carbonated, and on a hot muggy day like today is just about perfect.

First glass of my bohemian pilsner. Looks OK. Drinkable at 5% and at 5C hence the condensation on the glass. Tastes like a lager. I've decided brewing lagers takes far too long so won't be doing it again. Sticking to ales.
