Down to the last few pints of my Bitter Half. As usual, really nice now it's about to run out!

Back in blazing Welsh sun again with a Hobgoblin IPA which is very good with a definite orange tang. In fact more than the late lamented Tango! Label refers to "hops from the far flung shores of the Pacific." Any input from the experts would be welcome but I assume US west coast and Amarillo? Weirdly Spanish for yellow!

My Amber Lager, certainly not the best beer I've ever brewed, doesn't seem to be clearing either.

And then a Zappa IPA which looks decent and has a nice citrus aroma but is a bit one dimensional to be honest.

Tell us how the IPA got the name? I’m only asking because if I ever go on Mastermind my specialist subject in the second round is going to be ‘The Life and Music of Frank Zappa”.

Ha! No nothing that exciting! Used Zappa hops, brulosophy gives them a poor review which unfortunately I hadn't read before I used them or named my beer! 🤣

Bergamot maybe. I'm planning a bergamot IPA in a couple of weeks purely for the orange, which I love.

In the office today so a cheeky two hour lunch is called for. Not sure where I will end up but I can be almost guaranteed the pints will be at least £6.
