Hopped with Fuggles and EKG, a combination I used recently with good results
in an ESB .

I watched one of those shows last year, it was complete BBQ **** from start to finish.
The series was spoiled for me when the southern white (I’m assuming Republican voting) judges gave the prize to the elderly white woman from Georgia who couldn’t identify pork loin in the whole hog they had cooked for 24hrs and who had been out cooked all series by the black guy from the Caribbean who came second.

After losing half a day from being rough this morning, we've just had a few games of pool and shuffleboard in Lane 7, and in there we had a pint of neck oil and a drumstick lolly cocktail.

Now we're in Wetherspoons and Jim has a Punk IPA again and I'm having another rum and pineapple cocktail.

Exploratory pint of my Flakey bitter. Last batch was well below par, for some reason, but this looks back to form. Only bottled 15 days, wouldn't normally touch it this early, but as part of the batch is in clear bottles, I was encouraged by its crystal-clear appearance. And yes, it's absolutely fine, very pleased. Will still be leaving it alone for another couple of weeks, though, but it's nice to know.

After a very “busy” weekend I’m kicking off today with a Pirate Pale. We were out at a pub with our eldest daughter & family Saturday and out with our youngest daughter and family at a pub yesterday so I have a bit of catching up on the forum. I hope you all had as great a weekend!

Of the bottled Heffe in the supermarkets, this is my favourite..don't like the character of some of the others..too clovey..this is nicely balanced. Maybe more fruity.View attachment 86691

That’s my favourite, far more character than all the others in the supermarket. Swirl the yeast and pour it in your glass.

I’ll have a look for that series, sounds interesting.

When we went to Norfolk last week our hosts used a Ninja BBQ/ smoker/ everything else. I was quietly a little bit sceptical at first but in the end quite impressed with how good a job it did.

We've just done flight club which was a present from the son, but what we weren't expecting is a glass of prosecco and some extra drinks that he ordered too. I've done something right with those kids! We're staying here for a bit longer, so have now got a neck oil and a salted caramel espresso martini. Going home tomorrow. BTW my birthday was three months ago lol
