I love Bakewell, all of that area in fact
Chatsworth and Castleton are our go to weekends in the Van and pass through just for a pudding. There is a brewery school in Bakewell, I have no experience of it but the wife did a cheese making course there. Just don’t try driving through on market day if you’re not going there.

Found this at the back of the garage.
BBE 22 years ago 5. 21.
Lively pour but absolute cracker.
Blue Stone Brewery special IPA for a Stonehendge construction research project.
Chinook and cascade hops. Lovely malty backbone.
p.s. the rest was poured into a second glass but wasn't quite as crystal clear! Still tasted fine.

Castleton is beautiful too, I love that road snaking down through the hills and of course the Blue John mine!

Any particular sites? We are staying at Carsington Watet which is nice. Will be back to the area, it's going on the retirement tour list, looking forward to plenty of cycling around here

The circular route round carsington is great with a lovely pub half way round with a little detour.

We use the Caravan club sites as they are open all year round there, and at Chatsworth you get a key to go straight into the grounds. It’s not cheap anymore though. If you can manage to book it the show is well worth it.

At Castleton you have to walk past Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese (twice) which does a superb Inn Keepers pie and great beers.

We do.mostly rhe club sites, prices are getting mad though, especially at peak times and we now pay for both kids.

Is Chatsworth where they do the pop up sites? We drove past but didn't go in
