On to the Best Bitter now it’s cooled down a bit.

Today we're sharing a West Coast IPA from @Leon103

Appearance wise it is a dark but vibrant golden orange colour with some haze. The carbonation looks perfect on it, with a head that stuck around for quite a while. Once the head left, a quick swirl brought it back again.

On the nose we get orange which faded to a touch of caramel.

The biggest flavour I get is pithy grapefruit with decent lingering bitterness, but it's not harsh. The malt balances the bitterness nicely.

Mouthfeel is medium, but I think the creamy head gives the illusion of a little extra body.

More my husband's type of beer than mine, but a good representation of a West Coast IPA. The sending of two bottles so we could share was much appreciated. Many thanks for sending Leon. 🙂

That's a pretty good description. I was hoping for a traditional style but can't seem to shift the haze. Not my usual style but wanted something different and to use up some left over

Just endured, or rather enjoyed a beer swap with @The-Engineer-That-Brews . Had to try his Vienna pilsner

and Lockdown bitter.

Both beers were very enjoyable but my favourite was the bitter. A really nice drink. Thanks TETB.
It was hard work though and I need a rest....or another drink. A crafty NEIPA I think before dinner,

or for you northerners, tea 😂
