This was the latest brew, the previous one I didn't use Barke Pils. I don't think it's added much so I would just go back to Pils malt and caramunich.

Thanks, interesting you are just using only a pinch of caramunich. I picked up some munich 2 and I was going to try about 10% of that and 90% pilsner to add a bit more malt.

Below is the BYO clone of the original Tipopils, this is 1% caramunich. Which looking at the colour comparison to this batch and the Tipopils I had maybe it needs to be increased a touch to 1%

It's also using caramunich 2, hmmm. Well I am going to swing by the LHBS and grab some caramunich now. I think the next batch I am going to use tettnang and liberty.

Another stout, this one is a tropical from @pilgrimhudd. Pours inky black with just the slightest hint of deep amber when held to the light. The aroma is light and fruity and the flavour follows suit; plum stands out with some raisin and caramel notes. Great body and mouthfeel with a slightly sweet finish that’s balanced with the bitterness. Thanks for sharing it mate, I could drink a load of these. I’ll make good on my promise to brew one of these for a dark beer comp this year, it’s a style that has really exceeded my preconceptions and I’ve already stocked up on Cali Lager yeast for the brew day.
