The first time I tasted a saison was the 1 I brewed for the brew and swap and I’m glad I did. It’s a lovely easy drinking beer on a warm (ish) day. Dry and refreshing. Will brew a darker version shortly with more malt character as this one is all about the yeast.

WCIPA next
Not sure what is up with this beer.
My wife poured one earlier, it was a beautiful golden colour, aroma and flavour was citrus with a nice resin bitterness. I pour a pint, its a bit duller in flavour and aroma and the colour looks more oxidised than golden.

I will be sending a few bottles out next week to see what people think

Did you use BRY-97 by any chance? I've used that yeast 3 times for WCIPA and I get the same as what you're describing and it never clears to the bottom of the keg.

No. Cml 5. It's not meant to be a old school clear beer but more golden hazy bitter west coast. Just find it out that its a different colour in thr matter of hours.

This was a user up beer and I finished off my crafty maltsters pale malt. I have found that malt gives me a mucky appearance

Another WCIPA. perhaps i am over critical. Trying to get more light in the photo. Doesn't look as bad. The taste and aroma is nice actually.
