I'm out in the US staying with family who are really into their beers. All sorts of interesting things keep just appearing in a glass for me. Not complaining in the slightest.

In Broadway and wasn't inspired by the cask selection so went with Neck Oil. Haven't had this for ages (off tap) and they must have stopped putting hops in it. Disappointing.

I dislike adding spices to beer. If you get it fermenting nicely, I don't think you need extra spices

Vienna on the left, novalager on the right. The Vienna is young and still smells like ***, I guess the novalager is much less sulphury.

My attempt at Taras Boulba. Not sure how close it is but it's a nice beer. First time using WLP 540, very subtle compared to the other Belgian yeast I have used.

Another hard day at the office, went into the hills for a spot of roach fishing, dead calm doesn't fish well without a ripple but enjoyed the afternoon.
A Kiwi Pale Ale when I got home.

Definitely deserve this.
A Galaxy smash from Dogma in Belgrade. Fruitily hoppy, despite beeing BBE 09.02.'23.
Been for my first cycle ride (11 mile just for exercise) since skiing trips. The knees have been hurting.
Then after shower, over to refix son's close coupled toilet cistern-to-pan leak.
I should have used a better rubber doughnut seal to begin with.
Center brand ones are no good, use Viva brand which are 5mm thicker.
This is for an Ideal Standard, for which no fitting is ever standard!

I’ve been tidying and cleaning - lots of mess from the roofers (who are still here) and found four bottles with green caps unlabelled. No idea what it is - haven’t used green caps for years. Bottle conditioned - poured carefully and has the clarity of a commercial beer.
Malty rounded soft nuttiness … I’m wondering if this a super ancient kit beer. It’s ok actually - a fairly mild bitter.
