Had another all dayer yesterday so slow out of the blocks tonight. Plus the wife is out so on kid duties.

After a pile of ale yesterday, the best being So Cal by cloudwater, I fancied something cold and sweet. This is hitting the spot.

As I was being sociable last night, these didn't get posted.
First up was Side Pocket
A regular now at their club bar.
The sign on the hand pump says it all.
Then, next up:

Loving this, if not quite so professionally displayed!
Tring Brewery's World Cup special bitter.
Fuller flavour and less up-front with the hops. A lovely sup.
I stayed on this thereafter, so no point in further postings.

Well popped into the pilot of mumbles (one of my locals) - well the owner was celebrating 10 years of owning the pub. So free sarnies, choccies and cakes and I won a free pint and a t-shirt 👕 A free prize with every drink. Mrs DOJ had to drive home as she'd only had a half. So two pints of flamingo 🦩 lingo. I'd have gone back later but too cold and dark to cycle there.

First taste of my 2nd all grain brew...well the 2nd first taste, bottle one emptied itself out of the bottle due to being the last filled from the fv and having an inch of yeast and sundrie in it.My hefeweizen primed with Raspberry lowicz.

Quite simply the prettiest thing I've ever brewed, snow white head with the tiny bubbles that I see on all you great brewers' pictures, lovely full mouth feel which I am very happy with, and just a slight hint of Raspberry. Absolutely stoked😊

After almost a week of abstaining I'm enjoying a drinking day today. Sharing this North Brewing creation with my gorgeous hubby.

It's been all-go round here lately - the DIL has been waiting patiently for the go-ahead to join my son in the USA. She's currently above us and less than an hour away from landing in Boston, heading for Richmond. Preparations up to now have been manic and non-stop.

Extremely proud of the pair of them and glad to say things are all going well for once.

Cheers to you all. 🥂🍺
