Had my first bottle of this year's Fuller's vintage ale.

Very nice on first tasting.

I buy a few bottles each year. One to drink straight away, one to drink in 6-12 months' time, one for the father in law, and one to save for my daughter's 18th.

I hope the latter will either be a something we can share when she's 18, or (looking at some of the prices) she can sell.

She's coming up for 2 with a December birthday, so 3 bottles in, but something I want to continue.

I've put a photo of us and note from each year so far inside the box so even if she doesn't like the beer I hope it's something she cherishes.
Sounds like a fantastic idea. If she's anything like mine she'll love them! 18 months old and she'll have a sip and say mmmm beer 🤣

After giving her a sip I have to down the rest or she'll beg me for more 😅

Last pouring of the casked Mongel ale.
And this is through a coffee filter.
I lie, that's twice through coffee filters.
There is a little more still coming through the first filter from the same pouring, still in the garage, but that will be the very last of it.
Interestingly has some of the same flavours in it, but more-so!
That's hop bittering and burnt barleytwist.
Not the best it's been any more, but still drinkable. So farewell to an old friend, we've seen and been through a lot together. 🍺⚰️

Just finished a coffee stout shared by @Leon103 .
Dark ,decent head and you can tell at the bottom the glass that it's crystal clear.
Aroma is toasty and comes across more roasted coffee beans. To me the flavour has light coffee flavours but is more the darkest chocolate with a dark chocolate bitterness. It's smooth with no astringency, very easy drinking at 5.2% .it's medium body with medium carbonation so this makes it really easy drinking. Thanks mate..got the taste for another stout now.
