No, for the local club at “No Frills Joe” we have the resident owner/brewer, Jack. The Wilderness session was with the London group.

A local brewery specialises in mix fermentation. Some interesting beers, saison aged in varies wine/port/brandy barrels. Also the same with his stout's.
Great as a one of beer to try but not something you would drink a lot of

Very decent fella he is as well.
his stuff flies out the door often selling out to his distributor before he releases it so someone is buying more than 1
His core range of lacto / sour ipa’s are on tap in a few Donegal bars and a few in Belfast and do well. You get a taste for them after a while. I’ve had 40 cans of it since Christmas

There’s no reason we couldn’t do the same. If @Donegal john knows the chap he could approach him to gauge interest. The brewer could pick maybe three or four beers he would like to showcase to people on the forum. Start a thread to tell people the date and info on how/what to order. Someone sets up the Zoom call and anyone interested orders the same pack of 3 or 4 beers and on the appointed date/time joins the call. The brewer gives up a couple of hours to tell us about the beers and answer questions and in exchange sells a few extra packs of beer and hopefully has a nice evening chatting with like-minded folk.

I didn’t post last night because I spent the evening (along with 10 other people) on a video-call with the owner/brewer of Wilderness Brewery. They are based in Wales and mostly focus on mixed-fermentation and barrel-aged beers. We tasted and discussed these four beers last night.

Nice beers. For me the bottled biere de garde and the “so emotional” saison were the stars. The brewer, James, publishes his recipes but unless you’re going to buy a wine barrel and age your saison for a year or two, maybe just buy a can.

One of us went to another beer tasting of Wilderness beers and asked James if he would join us on a Zoom call to talk about his beers. We then all bought the same 4 beers for the call. Easy as that.

That could be arranged as he is a decent person (free beer every time I visit the brewery) I will approach him and feel him out on it and if he is up for it set something up possibly in the brewery with a couple of us that live locally. And a web cam for those that don’t

I did find a few more ale-y / craft-y bottles in the supermarket. Chilling in the fridge to try later.

It's not that bad but comes in 3rd out of my readily available Greek lagers. Mythos first, then Fix, then Alfa.
