This is a step up. Strong, hoppy, punchy stuff.

That’s a fantastic idea. I’m sure you’d have no trouble rounding up enough people to make it worth it for the brewer. There’s no reason we couldn’t do the same. If @Donegal john knows the chap he could approach him to gauge interest. The brewer could pick maybe three or four beers he would like to showcase to people on the forum. Start a thread to tell people the date and info on how/what to order. Someone sets up the Zoom call and anyone interested orders the same pack of 3 or 4 beers and on the appointed date/time joins the call. The brewer gives up a couple of hours to tell us about the beers and answer questions and in exchange sells a few extra packs of beer and hopefully has a nice evening chatting with like-minded folk.
I like smoked beer but always prefer it if I can split a bottle with someone as really can only drink it in small volumes.View attachment 67099
Smoked beer
I wonder, Is that a clever way to move brewing volume and therefore duty out off the books of the contracted brewers annual 60000 hl. What ever good luck to them.Just back from lunch with friends. Had a few pints of this “Plough Ale” (the pub is the Plough). Nice. Brewed for the Plough under contract by Canterbury Ales.

It would have been fine dining if you had used the proper TaytoNo beer, doing a bit of fine dining on the ferry to Liverpool. The ultimate crisp sandwich

I think the brewer is responsible for the tax declaration on any beer that’s sold but I don’t know where I heard that so I may be wrong.I wonder, Is that a clever way to move brewing volume and therefore duty out off the books of the contracted brewers annual 60000 hl. What ever good luck to them.
