We were in St Ives in September on our beer pilgrimage to the Blue Anchor in Helston. Lovely place St Ives but crowded and no parking. You can get Sea Fury in Brixham and Dartmouth.You’d probably like Sharps Original too but will struggle to find it. I do know of one pub in Cornwall where some of the locals refused to accept anything else. I believe it’s now only made in small batches to the original recipe and available only at a few outlets.
I last had Sharps Original (and Sea Fury) in The Castle Inn on Fore Street, St. Ives. Mind you, if you find yourself in St.Ives you have to visit The Pilchard Press Alehouse on the sea front. Nice cask beers and a great atmosphere - l could live there!
