I haven’t had a pint of my Pilsner for quite a while. This one was kegged in September and the flavour has changed a lot in that time. When young the beer is soft and fruity. Now it’s less fruity, quite dry, and has become more bitter probably just because it’s more dry and less fruity.

At last! A pint of my Samuel Smiths Winter Welcome. The longest and stinkyest brew I've ever done. Made on Nov 13th. 5 odd weeks in the FV, mostly smelling like a rat had fallen in at some point. The trub looked like tripe and stank. But it's turning out really quite nice.
I'll rename it Spring Welcome and leave it a bit longer I reckon.

Pint of Smithwicks. It’s got a bit more roasted flavour than my own Red Ale. The current batch in FV has had a recipe tweak. I’ll find out in a couple of weeks if it worked.
