The Bishops Finger was okay but it might be a while before I buy another. It tasted to me like a blend of a nice bitter like spitfire and a dark roasty beer like old peculiar - but the balance wasn’t to my taste. This one next…

Water tonight and for probably many weeks more as in hospital since last Thursday. Horrible pain originally but eased. Not the actual heart but from a tear in a vein nearby. Should learn later this week if treatment necessary and if so by an expert team in Liverpool. I think I will be seeking some low alcohol tasty recipes!

I had a Shepherd Neame Spitfire at the weekend and it was very good but drew comments that it smelled of weed. That'll be the clear bottles! Otherwise was a nice beer.

No worries...I'm planning a few snifters tomorrow night...seeing as I'm working Saturday night.

This Better Half is discontinued, as far as I know, so I did something out of the ordinary--sent an email pleading with the brewer to give me info on how to make it.
Curious as to what the response will be.

Yeah, it’s a real shame if you get one of those. Storage and handling can change a beer, seems to be tempting fate with clear glass too!
