After a very longgggg day of travelling and then walking around a huge Christmas market with dinner and drinks after it’s back in the hotel for some beers. Easily opened as there is a bottle opener built into the sink unit. Feuillien grand cru is lovely. 9.5% and nicely warming me up
Had a job choosing a few beers from the shop. Got 6 la trappe quads and a glass for €15 and a few others.

One of my favs.

Glenfiddich is my fave single malt. What’s that one like ?
Funny how whiskey now imitates beer instead of the other way round
Very tasty and far to easy to drink. It’s got the classic speyside flavours, low on smoke and high on dark fruit and pepper. Its got a zestiness the the team at Glenfiddich attribute to the hops in the IPA that seasoned the cask.

Interestingly from our perspective, they brewed three different IPA’s and tried them all before choosing which one to go with in the finished product. So, proper experimentation.

I saw that the other day at the store, the marketing goes they were aged in craft IPA barrels??? Must be part of the reuse movement. Whiskey to beer to whiskey.
