This Italian pils scored 37 in the homebrew comp and it's the my least favorite of the 3 I sent in...

Is the standard of homebrew high, Have you managed to get anyone to swap with yet
I think so, but I haven't had a chance to share with the local club though. There were 200 entries in this comp at a LHBS.

A bush de Noel now. This one is a cracker. Winter warmer and at 12% makes sure you know it. Warms the throat and the chest big malty flavours and a burnt sugar aftertaste. A fine beer to end the weekend with View attachment 78367
This was the best beer in vanuxeeem's advent calendar when I had one a few years ago.

A couple of stubbies of Coopers sparkling clone. I did use Morgans yeast, while a decent and cheap ale yeast, Morgans is owned by Coopers it is not what ferments a Coopers Sparkling, while the colour and bitterness from the Pride of Ringwood hops seem right it is missing the esters from the Coopers in the bottle yeast, which is a watered down version of the yeast used to ferment the Sparkling.

Another long neck of my Bass clone. Very happy with this one.

I’m starting, and may continue for a while, in Belgium. First a guest ale from @Leon103 , his 5% Belgian Pale.

This copper-coloured beer is almost clear with just a little chill haze as you can see in the picture (back-lit to better show the colour). Medium carbonation created a thin head off-white foam that slowly dispersed over several minutes.

The aroma is of sweet bready malt with toffee and biscuit notes, a little fruitiness, and low Belgian esters.

The initial flavour is a bit hit of complex malt flavours suggesting biscuit, barley sugar, bread, nutty notes and a touch of honey. As the malt flavour subsides some fruitiness comes through fading to a dry mildly bitter finish with a hint of pepper spice.

A nice easy drinking well balanced beer with lots of flavour and a great start to my evening. Thanks Leon! 👍

Make it, it’s an easy brew. 👍🏻
I bought a load of stuff to make a very nice stout,Leffe clone and an AIPA but stuff got in the way and lasted much longer than anticipated. As a result its a Shipyard for me to start.
Tomorrow is the shift pi55up...I wasn't going to go as my bones ache! But....
